Since MapVote 3.02 has been giving us problems I've gone back to mapvote 2.9a - you'll notice when you see it.
Please report any global crashes here, or mail me if you haven't registred. The bug that haunted us before was all people having their computer crash just after a game has ended. It had to do with Mapvote.
If this happens with this mapvote as well I'll go back to 3.02 but if this one is fine I feel we can better live with this one. Downside is its a little more cumbersome to use. Oh well.

Hmm shit. Tell me when exactly you drop out.. Do you think others drop out too or is it just you?
Try to go into your unreal/System Directory and delete all BDB* files..

well i gotta say that im kinda glad you switched back the older version since my computer locked up sometimes (~3 of 10 times) at mapvote. never done that before on other servers with "older" mapvote.
interesting to see if it works now

Yeah I've been emailing with BDB, but he has little time.. So well as long as I dont hear people having bad troubles with this older version of mapvote I think I will keep this.. but time will tell.
Hopefully BDB will come through later..
For now please report anything weird happening.

I heard from Leebe that he had a version mismatch somewhere with mapvote. Its not unlikely that more people will get that but its a nice clue.. I wonder how many people will get it
I'll try to reproduce it and write a bit about it.

One of the people in Vlads clan think it was Thausado had the same problem, but he deleted what ever was causing the conflict.

Indeed. If you have played on a server with Mapvote v2.6 (say) the machine will think you have Mapvote 2, not download the version 2.9. And then panic cause indeed the versions mismatch.
Basically the solution is deleting perhaps the cached mapvote, dont know if a cached version will fuck stuff up, but at least any BDB* files inside your System dir.

How about the dreaded mapvotes of death (where everybody gets kicked) - anyone experience crashes recently? The SNP server went down once sunday night but other than that as far as I know everything was smooth.
Anyone notice fuckups lately?

Sounds good, then. Keep your eyes open, but for now it seems going to 2.9a is the right choice.
