my friend has a wireless mouse that uses his reg ps2 port but i should b able to help u. On the wireless receiver , depending on wut model wireless keyboard and mouse u have, there should b a little switch on it with one mouse and then a picture of 2 mice above it. make sure u have it set to only 1 mouse or it might think that ur keyboard is a mouse too. As for being windows nt 4.0 all i can say is if wut i said above doesnt work, upgrade to nt 5.1 or above or search for new drivers. and if that doesnt work, ask yerf lol
also if u could email me ur system specs like hd, memory, etc so that maybe i could find ur problem easier

This is exactly what i have http://logitech.com/cf/products/productoverview.cfm/104
It doesnt have a switch, only a connect button. It shouldnt need one because the keyboard goes into the keyboard port, and the mouse uses the usb port.
I installed new drivers, NT 5.1? Is that what you computer ppl call windows XP....
Specs.... IBM 20gig HD ... 256 kb of memory.... umm that is all i know. It is a dell.

i assume zed u dont know wut im talking about so let me simplify this. u have windows nt 4.0 right? well there is a service pack for it that makes it over 4.0 like nt 5.1 or something. u need that or u just need to reinstall the itouch stuff and the mouse and key board.
Waiit!!!!!!!!!!! i just thought of something. could u tell me if ur mouse is infared or radio like something like 9oomhz frequency type stuff. if its a radio wireless mouse then it could b receiving interfeerence. if its infared sorry dude i dont much about that stuff. infared stuff is in yerfs realm

5.1 is the version of the service pack or something. yes its technically xp but its still the nt os with the service pack. xp is the true nt 5.1 but there is a service pack for nt that makes it 5.1 with the service pack but it doesnt change the os to xp.
hope u guys under stand

Cow,
I am sure you know the answer, but I need further explanation....
Ok so the service pack upgrades me to a so called XP? Does it give me XP features and keep the NT 4.0 OS? Is it free? how bout that link where i can d.l the upgrade?
Maybe if I give you an example... My second computer I have Windows 98... this is built on 95 coding (right) and if I want to upgrade(which is basically a service pak right?), I dont want to reinstall my OS, just upgrade to my favorite OS (windows 2000 professional) which base coding does it use? '95 or NT ? NT coding is a lot more stable so I prefer that...
I am soooooo confuzzed......

I am the expert guru of individual keys on the keyboard, so if ur having trouble with say your pagedown key or maybe your f1 I can help you with that. Also I may have a solution to your current situation. Go to the store where u bought your wireless stuff take the keyboard and mouse, dont forget the reciept. Return the pieces of junk and use a mouse and keyboard with wires u lazy bum!!!!

Sly,
I have a question for you about a couple of keys on my keyboard. I play UT too much and 2 keys that I most use (F and U) are wearing down. You can actually see that the keys are like chipping off the sides and the sides have now smoothed. Is it possible to yank off the keys without exactly breaking them off and replace them with new ones? One thing about the replacing of them, since I want to use them from another keyboard, will they feel the same as the original keys (minus the wearing down of course)? What makes keys feel different? The actual key casing or the little cushion thing that sends the command. Should I just buy a logitech wireless keyboard and not bother with the hassle??

Well it depends if really what kind of keyboard r u currently using and what kind of keys r u going to replace it with. I have an emachines 8000231 keyboard but I was able to replace my keys with the glow in the dark keys 4999290 made by emachines. Which r great for seeing my keys. Let me know what kind of keyboard you are currently using, what keys u r looking to replace it with, and if the keys are wearing down from ur fingers well mabye you should look into getting a manicure.

Sly,
I have a Sony VAIO PCVA-KB1P/UB keyboard and I want to replace keys from a generic keyboard sold at any electronics store. You know the ones that cost anywhere from $4.99-$15.99. Like I said before, I want to replace my F and U keys with F and U keys from the other keyboard. Anyways. Getting a manicure might not be such a bad idea. I think I can climb trees with them.

OMG, karr u can climb trees with them, I thought it was bad but it is far worse then I could have expected. Yes u should defintly replace ur keys if they have been under the wear and tear of those things. If your only mainly playing UT u can probably just replace the keys but if your doing a lot of typin u may be better being off buying a new keyboard.
In my experience the best way to get the keys off is with a flat head screwdriver, u should do it carefully u dont want to break anything. Expecially those keys ur taking off the generic keyboard. While I wouldnt recommend using generic keys since after all the r generic and can be easily broken. Also the generic keys dont always have the best feeling on the fingers. I know when im playing I want to be as comfortable as possible. Make sure you are very careful when removing those keys.
Maybe u should pracitce on Jags keyboard first. Remove all her keys just to get a little practice in, dont worry about putting her keys back on. After ur done that then work on the keys u need to remove from your regular keyboard. Then u may be ready to step up to the delicate generic keyboard. Now remember ur using a flat head screwdriver for this not a phillips head. I know u get easily confused so I had to make sure u know this the flat head screwdriver has a flat end ok. Also maybe you should get that manicure before you installation of the new keys. Cuz u will tear right through those generic keys.
I know this response has been pretty long but u know how replacing keys is such a delicate process. Hope this helps,
