hey, yet again i have a problem, i just installed ut again, anyway now when i play online the people walk weird, thier legs dont move they kinda just drag along the floor, i hope someone knows what i mean. i hae tried reinstalling twice, and it still hasnt fixed it, it seems to be just me, as sidys game works fine, can anyone help me? its kinda ruining the game.

Did you install the hi-res textures from cd2 Tempus?
Thats the only time ive seen that happen.

Yep, that's a known bug I believe.

Did you install the 'extra high res textures' or whatever it's called exactly off the second CD? If so, DON'T! Smile

They're broken. All you need is the basic UT install off the first CD and perhaps a few small upgrades off the server.

aahhhhh crap thats it, i got a new mobo etc etc so i thought id add themc oz this graphics card and so on could handle it, ok i reinstall again this time without them.

or you wouldnt be saying that Very Happy

just rename textures folder of ut into something else like textures1
then copy the whole textures-folder from bonuscd into ut
copy the s3tc fix into new textures folder and get it run (it fixes the
s3textures)http://www.student.kuleuven.ac.be/~m9918963/downloads/s3fix.exe
after that copy the "old" textures back into new textures-folder
without overwrighting anything+make sure you got the newest opengldrv.dllhttp://unreal.epicgames.com/files/opengldrv.zip

i reinstalled b4 i saw ur post soz leebe, and im afraid i aint reinstalling again!!

anyway reinstalling without those textures fixed my problem, thanx for everyones help, im sure ill be back soon with another.

yeah i had that prob too tempus, but it was when someone was using the bonus back skins, skaarj to be specific, and it was defaulting them to the male soldier, it appeared they were standing on one foot. i think its kind of funny.

Has anyone else got these Hi-res textures to work?

If you do want to try it Tempus, or anyone, you dont need to reinstall.
Just follow the instructions and maybe play with your ini a bit.

First shot is LavaGiant second is Curse][

Just a quick example, theres a lot more than just those two.
