|
|
Hey everyone,
Anyone care to share on what hardware they have to play UT on? How does it perform between UT and UT2003?
I'll kick-off with mine (pretty old now! Any excuse... ):
ASUS AK7+ motherboard (integrated RAID)
AMD Athlon 1.7GHz Palamino processor
512Mb RAM
GeForce III Ti200 AGP Graphics card
2 disks (100Gb), 1 plextor 24*CD writer, 1 Pioneer 40*DVD
Windows XP Professional
Network connection: ADSL (576Kb/s/256Kb/s)
Had no problems with UT with everything switched on.
Going to try UT2003 tonight and will report results!
So, what are you guys using that constantly kick my ass?!!
Cheers,
Grim.

AthlonXP 1600, VIA KT133A mb, 256MB RAM, GeForce2 MX400, 128k/96k cable -> 1024x768x32 Direct3D all gfx settings at max -> no prob with UT, only on larger maps framerate sometimes drops under 30, UT2003 is playable at 800x600x16 (all gfx settings at max), but framerate is sometimes too low and maps supplied with demo are relatively small so I dunno how it will work on large maps.

Yeah really nice Webs
although, I got some 4400's for work and got higher 3dmarks with those?
Theres really not much difference between the three cards.
I wish i got a 4400 instead
Half the price and nearly as good.

Proc: Intel Pentium 4 / 1.9 Ghz
M/B: Gigabyte GA-8ITXE I850
Mem: 518 MB RDRAM
Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon 7500 Pro.
Internet Connection: 128 kbps Shared, Cable Modem.
Both UT an UT2K3 work just fine at 1024*768*32 bpp (frame rate above 60 no matter what), but I have a f**king Intenet Connection so both work like s**t in Multiplayer over the INet.

Pentium 4 1500Ghz
384RAM
100GB (2 Drives)
CD-RW
56k Modem
Ethernet Card for DSL
GeForce2 MX 32MB Vid Card
Windows XP
UT runs fine at 1024 x 768. Have no Problem with UT2k3. But with big maps or lots of textures. UT does stutter.
