wtf 24 mbps? I am trying to bribe telecom guys to give me 1mbps and you can have 24mbps for free! lol thats definitely not fair! hehe

unfortunately not Ive tried there before but no luck
All I can get (due to distance and quality of my line) is 512k they are doing free upgrades to 2MB but I cant get that either

Hm you must be really far from the phone switchboard, I think they said 1Mbps is working up to 6km.... I am 4,5km but still I cant get anything cos there are some archaic things on the route killing adsl signal

The limit for ADSL service used to be 18,000 feet (5,460 meters) - and im 5.5km they knocked me back 4 times before I finally got it on the 5th try (BT knocked me back, Pipex did it first time)
theyve upped the limit to 6km since then
but they wont upgrade me because they say my line quality is too bad
im not sure whether to push for it (tell them to do it anyway) or to leave well enough alone IF I get them to do it the quality of my connection might be worse atm it runs well, just a little slow.
