Hi OCA's,
i cant connect to your server (Server 1) for 2 weeks without any error-message. UT says 'connecting' but i cant play there. But if i go to favorites, then i can see my nickname in playerlist, but i am not playing.
Do you know why ?

Sounds really weird  sorry but I dont know what it is.
You could try deleting all UTPure's in your system folder and any BP1handler
Also clear your cache. Are you using version 436? or have you updated to 451? or any other

Fenerli, I have the exact same problem on one of my computers!! It stays on the "Connecting" screen but never lets me in the server, and it shows that I am in the game though. Our other computers are able to connect to Pointless just fine...really weird
LeeBe...I just want to double check that 436 IS what we are supposed to be using? Or am I dork and I missed an upgrade?

Hi LeeBe,
i have still the version 436. Ok, i will try to connect tomorrow with version 451, because Ant will update our DJ-server to version 451 too. I hope, i can connect then.
@-=SDA=-Jenn: Yep, it is the same problem. My brother and his wife (-=SDA=-LoLa) can connect too with version 436 and we are online over the same router.

I wouldnt upgrade to 451. You wouldnt be able to play on most other servers.
You should try and delete all BPHandlers and any UTPure versions in your system folder and clear your cache first.
Also see if OCAfiles.u is there and delete it.
If all that fails I would reinstall UT before I would 'upgrade' to 451
edit: Failing that it could be a bug with the new Pure version, or even patch 451.

| Yeah dont upgrade to 451. I wasnt able to play anywhere with 451. 436 works fine with all server verisons.

Hi all
I donīt know if it is helping, but i have more UT pures in my system as you I mean, and I can play on theOCA server!!!
I have 436 installed no 451 !!
I have all of BP1Handler 11 - BP4Handler6C.u and all UT pures like
UT-PureRC51 - RC6C all in my system.
So it must be another file what makes this error.

At the minute there is no other files on the server. (except ZP and Spawn protect)
Only Pure6C and the patch 451 (which is on a lot of servers atm)
So if it is another file it will be client side.
Fen and Jenn (and anyone else with the error) should delete any non-standard UT file from the system folder and empty cache.
If that doesnt work (or you dont want to do it) the only other thing it could be is that Punt has setup Pure6C wrong. Any error message should also be in the server log and it would be upto Punt to check it.

Hmm since it's my server by inheritance you're in love with me!  Are you of legal age yet? ;D
And as for the strangeness happening.. tough to tell really. I assume you are able to see the server on your master browser list? If so it is unlikely that its anything the server is doing, but well if you have the time try to connect a few times and tell me you have (mail me on the forum?) so I can check the logs, see if there's anything in there.

Well, the fact that you are older than me makes me happy! LOL I'll be 28 in August It seems that most of the UT players I come across are in their teens...it's nice to meet a fellow upper 20's player
You can be sure that when I go to get the other computer figured out, I'll let you know how it goes and see if any of that info will help anyone else Robot posted over at our SDA forum that he was having the same problems as me and I told him about this thread and what all you guys recommended about deleting the UTPure files from his cache and using 436. I think it worked for him!

And I had same kind of problem earlier than you have Jenn, what i did was - I copied working UT-set over lan to other computer,configured that for hardware and played.But thats just me...(lazy bastard..)
