Hey OCA'S

I was playing normaly on your server,, got kicked for spamming.
I was not even typing.
Got kicked anyway.
Now i cant connect your server anymore.

HELP PLZZZZZ

I have seen people who are not typing beening kicked. When people use the voice taunts and use them to spam and someone done the spam check it will select people and warn them. Dunno if this is total ramdom but it is a pain when people doing nothing at all get kicked.

It don't seam to work on people who voice spam and i see more and more of it all the time. Sad

Well the spamcheck thing checks over the last 200 messages. I've now tuned that down a lot. Basically people who use 'standard taunts' like -------{{{LOL}}}-------- all the time would get kicked too.

Now only 'recent' spams will be treated.

The system might barf still so if you think something unlawful is happening let me know, logging is more up to speed now.

I got kicked with spamcheck..
And I didn't do anything.
( basicly the same thing as sudden )

Well basically some special characters are used by unix and so if the system is looking for a specific nickname it might interpret a - a * a } as a command rather than just part of the name of someone.

But this is (I hope) water under the bridge now, I think I've fixed the system so let me know if you get kicked again.

Or to be more exact let me know if you are kicked when you werent spamming, or if you are banned instead of kicked for spamming. Smile
