Well the command speaks for itself, doesn't it? When you run @spamcheck the system will check the last 100 chat log lines and will kick anyone who:
1/ produces more than 4 lines of text in a row
2/ produces more than 5x 3 lines of text in a row (this might need to be tuned)
EVERYBODY is allowed to use this command so I expect this little command will kill pretty much all spammers dead in no time flat. Gotta love me. Report bugs etc please. BTW to be absolutely clear: just say
@spamcheck
ingame whenever you feel like it.
(you WILL be kicked by spamcheck if you say @spamcheck more than 4x in a row btw )
(edit: hmm actually it won't - Ive built in a systtem to ensure that a spammer won't be kicked twice for the same spam message within those 100 messages)

Does it check only chat commands?
Just with the monster kill anouncer you could have 5 lines of text in a row

It checks chat messages, not just @ commands or something.
It doesnt check what the server itself says (like 'yadayada has joined the game')
It doesn't check taunts

Sounds cool However, some of the most anoying spam comes from those who hit taunts time after time.

Wellll that in my experience only happens during voting, and in any case I can't check for it even if I wanted to. (at least, not without someone writing a mutator that actually logs taunts.. )
But all OCA members are fully authorised to kick any and all players who spam taunts.

Nice Job Punt!
Could've been named "The cleansweep".
Now the only thing missing would be a kind of "typekill-preventer", so when you're talking and someone shoots at you, you're save from harm, the shooter gets message: "Tztztztz - don't typekill!", when he/she keeps shooting, he/she takes damage.
For not being exploited as "Deadprevention" in dire need, the protection is only temporary, like SpawnProtect. Ok, ok; I have to admit, it's nearly impossible to solve, and maybe even not worth the try, but I'll try it nonetheless.

Hmmm..
Well unless you're a mod author it can't be done. And if you are, well, go mod! I just dunno how much it would be abused. Would people start to camp, start talking, wait for prey, then stop talking and shoot?

OK I've added some debugging output to this (the main program isnt improved yet) so I can more easily track who's been detected as bad, who hasnt been unbanned properly etc.
Also I've made it less sensitive, only people who spam more than 4 lines inthe last 25 lines should be kicked. (or 3x5 lines in the last 25 .. doubt that'll happen)
The main poeple who will be 'unduly' affected are people who use taunts like
-------------{{{+++LOL+++}}}----------
and crap like that, and frankly I hate when people use that too so I dont care they're 'hurt'

Wow I have no idea what I was on when I altered some of my spamcheck code, but frankly I have no idea why it even banned anyone correctly the last xxx days. No idea when but I made a major coding error that is too dumb to mention.
At any rate, spamcheck should now be working 100% again, and not ban people either. If you still find it's broken lemme know.
(addendum: Im still on -something-, I broke it again... grmbl) gimme a few mins
