Second look... hmm server browser is weird, crashing everytime I use it, extremly large font (why?) and I cant add favorite manually, UT server browser was much better. Less features - UT2003 doesnt have F2 info, F6 net stats, wave taunt and feigh death i havent found too. Say/TeamSay is bad too, its on the bottom of page and disappears too fast, also red color isnt best choice.... dunno, game itself looks cool, but all user interface (hud, messages, announcements, server browser, menus) is strange, like for kids or so... and less features and customization options... Sad

btw Punt installed UT2003 server 130.89.22.202:9999 (hmm i think it was 9999...)

im not impressed with it Sad

my comp only just manges to run it, and its laggy at that even with res etc etc dropped right down. i havent tried online yet

LOL I just was on our UT2003 Demo server and there were 18 (!!!) players, heh looks that ppl like it... anyway I found another missing feature - IRC...

IRC = Internet Relay Chat, look at Server Browser in UT, there is also Chat tab which allows you to connect to IRC server and chat with other players....

O yer i remember seeing that but i never used it. Does it have in game, game voice so you can talk to people in the game.

Ok so i downloaded it and the graphics were lush but the game play was poo, when you jump it looks like you have jumped a whoppong 2cm off the floor "crap". Another thing the game play is far to slow the player are far to big and so are the weapons.

I think i will stick with UT for a good while yet to come.

Until it has skinny player with skinny weapons that can jump ten feet off the floor and most of all i am wanting a sniper weapon.

Heh well briefly my pro's and cons so far:

+ Jumping. Smile

I used to dodge jump to get some extra speed in UT - you guys might've noticed, but now I can dodge jump - and double jump. I outrun people xloccing with that. Woo.

+ Level design.. Cooool *drool* *slobber* *censored*

+ Most weapons. Bear in mind they have pretty much toned down ALL weapons. Yes that makes some weapons 'suck' compared to UT but its just a choice, battles last longer this way.

- Performance. I have an Athlon XP 1800 + Ge3 Ti500 which is fairly high-spec still, and in certain (large, sniper-friendly) areas I get 30 FPS which as you guys know really is too low for accurate aiming. Turning down EVERYTHING only improves this by only a few % - 36 FPS or so.

- The sniper rifle sucks. Period. (though I am getting a bit better with it I admit)

- The game has a very Quake3/cartoonish feel while it also is serious with gore and blood etc. I liked UT for its 'serious' nature.. The announcer is OK IMHO, but the big human-height adrenaline pills suck.
