We had similar storm last night too! We were driving to my folks when it broke! Could hardly see a thing through the screen the rain was so heavy. Within minutes the roads were quite literaly rivers.
Massive lightning activity all around us which hit a sub station 300 meters from where I live, which knocked out traffic lights and homes etc for an hour or so. When we got to where we were going people were trying to shore up their doorways to stop the water flooding their homes. The local pub was flooded too!

I have never in my time seen soooo much rain fall in such a very short time!! (As Lee said 20/30 mins) Incredible. Exclamation

We had some lightning and thunder yesterday, bit of rain and that was it...... lucky!
