Hi ppl, ok for those of you asking about a new opengl driver heres the link
http://www.ocainsane.com/files/utgledit.rar
The date on the file is 02/02/2002, but i dont know how true that is
theres also a tweaker thing with it.
For me this has solved the darkness thing with opengl and fps has gone up about 35%.
as with everything i suggest you make a backup copy of the origional file before you overwrite it with this one.
and of course, me, or anyone else i know, or dont know, is not responsible if anything goes wrong. you dont have to do this. blah blah blah

Ok, I know this is an old post but I have to say it:
I cannot stand OpenGL!!!!!!!!!!! (When I used OpenGL with UT it caused weird things to happen, such as the screen refusing to lighten, hence my inability to play dark maps because I couldn't SEE anything...)
I have an ATI Radeon 9700 Pro (apparently DELL gives awesome video cards but shitty drivers to their customers ) so I downloaded the latest set of Omegas for Direct3D Support...wasn't bowled over so I went directly to the ATI site. Got myself some awesome drivers and reset my UT resolution to 1024x768 and all is graaaaaaaavy
...I still don't like OpenGL

In my mad rant I didn't take into consideration that someone might have an nVidia card...erm, whups Tell me, have you had any problems with it whatsoever or are you happy with OpenGL?
*Speaking Very Quickly*
BUT I STILL HATE OPENGL AND OPENGL STILL SUX
Bleh.
