True enough thats how I found out my graphicscard was dying.. the ge3 worked fine until you try to play a game (for long) check if your GPU temperatures are ok (and if the fan is running)..

Thank you for trying to help me - I got the patch (tried 1.engl, than 2.engl. -
which is kinda weird: Patch 1.2 identifies itself as 1.3 in WinInstaller?) didn't help at all.
I thought it must've been some graphic problem, but temperature is ok (less than 34°C at graphicscard
+fan is running, cpu ~ 40°C, motherboard 39°C) most of the time.
One of the Errorcodes refered to nv4_X.dll, so i de-installed and reinstalled the Nvidia drivers-
even in save-mode as being told by the NVidiaTutorial for that kind of problem (with WinXP).
Was no use at all, as you might guess.
After all, I got my system to "loose" some weight, including Norton SystemWorks-
and voilà: no problem left!

I really hope that problem has been solved, because sitting in front of a pc feeling soooo dumb
because of having no clue at all makes me.....

its really good game. BTW there are also some mods around, inxluding huge gfx mod, which replaces old cars by current ones or puts city into winter with snow etc.

Yeah, I've played it before and got that deeeeeeeeep satisfaction walking through beautiful
surroundings making me also "feel" like being there - that's something you
normally only get in really good books/novels. Smile

The mods you mentioned look great - I should put some effort in learning Czech, I guess.....

But there's a promising mod for UT2003/4 by some Mafia-fans, maybe you'd like
